I'm a 62-yr old retired engineer.
I've been very deaf since I was four years old - as a result of ear infections.
Thankfully, my ear infections did not affect my sense of balance.
During my teenage years, my father introduced me to hiking and backpacking.
I also had reasonable bicycle riding and racing career way back then.
I've had life-long dreams of climbing mountains, but unfortunatelly, work and family
put these on the back burner.
Once I retired, I started to re-activate some of some of my failed dreams.
I climbed my first mountain (Mt Hood) when I was 54. |
